Revolutionary Technology for Exceptional Cataract Care
Bryan E. Lusk, M.D.
Fellowship-trained corneal specialist Dr. Bryan Lusk could have practiced anywhere, but he chose to return home to work alongside his father. Not long after, he and his brother, Dr. Jeffrey Lusk, had the unique honor of restoring their father’s vision through cataract surgery.
Now a leading LASIK and cataract surgeon in the region, Dr. Bryan feels fortunate to practice with his family, serving the friends and neighbors he grew up with. For the Lusks, it’s not just about exceptional eye care—it’s about family. Even outside the practice, they often spend weekends and evenings together, continuing their close-knit tradition.

A Family Legacy of Expertise
James E. Lusk, M.D.
Few cataract surgeons can say they've experienced cataract surgery themselves, but Dr. James Lusk can—and his surgeons were his own sons, Dr. Bryan Lusk and Dr. Jeffrey Lusk. This unique bond reflects the Lusks' philosophy: for them, it’s all about family.
Earlier in his career, Dr. James Lusk performed LASIK on both his sons, solidifying their shared dedication to exceptional eye care. As the founder of Lusk Eye Specialists, he brought advanced cataract, refractive, and corneal surgery to the Ark-La-Tex over 30 years ago, setting a standard of excellence that continues today.
After completing his fellowship in Dallas, Dr. Jeffrey Lusk faced a choice: join a large ophthalmology practice in Texas or return to Shreveport, where his heart—and hunting bow—have always been. He chose home, joining his father and brother to provide exceptional care to the Ark-La-Tex community.
As a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and experienced cataract and LASIK surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey brings rare expertise to the region. Like his brother, he’s proud to treat patients like family, a value that came full circle when he helped restore his father’s vision through cataract surgery—a touching return on the LASIK his father performed on him years earlier.
