Jeffrey D. Lusk, M.D.

Jeffrey D. Lusk, M.D.

After watching his brother, Bryan, return to Shreveport to practice ophthalmology with their father, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist and cataract surgeon, Jeffrey Lusk, MD, had an important decision to make: should he remain in Dallas, where he’d completed his fellowship, and work for one of the mega-ophthalmic practices in Texas? Or should he return home to Shreveport, where he grew up fishing and hunting with his family?

Well, anyone who knows ‘Dr. Jeffrey’ also knows that his heart — and hunting bow — have always been in Louisiana. Fortunately for him, his family, and the people of the Ark-La-Tex, he came home, where having another exceptionally-well trained ophthalmologist has been a blessing. In addition to being one of only a select number of glaucoma specialists in the region, Dr. Jeffrey has become an experienced cataract and LASIK surgeon.

Like his brother Bryan, Dr. Jeffrey has a passion for treating patients like family. He was thrilled to be able to help restore his father’s vision using cataract surgery, which is lovingly joked about as a “return on an investment” for Dr. James Lusk, who had years prior corrected Jeffrey and Bryan’s vision with LASIK. It’s always been about family with Dr. Jeffrey, and as his family continues to grow, it always will be.

KRESHA M. MANY, LOUISIANA

I went in with 20/200 vision and in less than 24 hours my vision was 20/20.

KRESHA M.
MANY, LOUISIANA

I was absolutely terrified to have LASIK but Dr. Jeffrey Lusk and his staff (especially Lauren) went above and beyond to make me comfortable! The procedure was nothing like I feared! I went in with 20/200 vision and in less than 24 hours my vision was 20/20. He is thorough and I had someone explaining every detail each step of they way. I am blown away that there was NO pain, barely any discomfort and how amazing it is to be able to see! I was well-informed prior to and after the procedure. I am a nurse and would recommend this team to anyone!

I’ve wanted to get LASIK since I heard about it, but never could pull the trigger on it. A friend had it and went on and on about how great it was so I called and set up my consultation the next day. Lauren was awesome during the consultation and the whole LASIK process. Dr. Jeffrey Lusk is out there doing miracle work is the only way I can explain it. I have 20/15 vision now. It’s life changing. If you’re having doubts, go get your free consultation and see how easy it is. You’ll be thankful you did. I should have done it years ago.
