His freshman year in high school was won the state doubles championship and was runner-up his sophomore year. At Captain Shreve High School, he graduated as the salutatorian in 2001 and went on to become a nationally ranked tennis player. Dr. Jon Branton joined the practice of Dr. James Lusk in 1994. He began his career with Dr. Robert Azar and provided general eye care and pre- and post-operative care to cataract, RK, and corneal patients. He also made grand rounds at both Tulane and LSU Medical Schools in New Orleans.
Dr. Branton was in private practice from 1982-1993, where he was instrumental in establishing the first hospital-based Low Vision Clinic in Louisiana. He also trained residents in low vision. >> Read More
Dr. Sue Donald joined the Lusk Eye Specialists team in 2013, but has been serving patients in the Ark-La-Tex area since 1992. She is a graduate of the Michigan College of Optometry and a prior assistant professor at the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Donald’s specialties of interest include pre and post operative cataract care, glaucoma management, external eye diseases and complete eye health exams. She and her husband, a native East Texan, have also owned a private practice in Carthage, TX since 1995. Dr. Donald is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Louisiana Optometric Association, the Ocular Nutrition Society, the American Academy of Optometry and the Contact Lens Section of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Pam Theriot joins Lusk Eye Specialists with over 15 years of experience after relocating to Shreveport with her husband, a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. This is Dr. Theriot’s second time living here in the South, she received her BA in Biochemistry from Rice University in Houston, TX. She went on to receive another BS degree in Vision Science along with her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley. In 2002, Dr. Theriot completed her residency at the State University of New York, College of Optometry. Then, she received the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is also a graduate of Dry Eye University. Currently, she is working towards earning her diplomat status in the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Theriot is joining us from Tucson, AZ where she developed her love of treating patients suffering from dry eye symptoms. Dr. Theriot and her husband, Lieutenant Colonel Gregory Theriot, have two children.
