Since she was a child, Dr. Rachel Briggs has been interested in eyes and the way they work. After working for Shreveport optometrist Dr. Sam Silverblatt in high school and college, Dr. Briggs decided she wanted to make it her life’s work to help people see better and care for their eye health. Born and raised right here in Shreveport, she couldn’t be more excited to get to do just that for her hometown!

Dr. Briggs provides a full spectrum of primary care services at Lusk Eye Specialists, including eye exams, dry eye treatment, glaucoma management, and more. As an optometrist who has worked in a variety of clinical settings, Dr. Briggs keeps high standards for herself: she believes that personalized, attentive care that gets it right the first time is important for providing the best vision possible for her patients.

When she is not in the office or brushing up on the latest in eye care, Dr. Briggs loves spending time with family and friends, singing with the church choir, painting, and exercising.
